My fifty two of the week.

I liked better how the sparks came out in this one.

red

We love those who fit the peculiar voids within us, our hollow wounds.
We love to fill the spaces the old loves left behind.

Just trying new things.

50 years ♥

Hello! I've got some pictures for you. This weekend I went away to a little town called La Romana, where I celebrated, along with my family, the commemoration of the 50th wedding anniversary of my grandparents. Here that anniversary is called "Boda de Oro".

To celebrate, part of my family that lives in Miami, FL. came too, so we were all very happy to be enjoying these days with the people we love.

Ain't she a cutie?

My grandparents with all their kids. (That's my mom!)

My grandma with some of her grandkids - I am the one in blue.

This was definitely a weekend to remember. It's so sad that my big sister and some of my other cousins weren't able to enjoy with us. But even though they were't present physically, they were in all of our hearts.

the cat

Hi :)

The following pictures are from today, they are of my cat, which I have now come to realize has no name. How sweet. I actually like how they look in black and white, but giving the collage a second thought I think it was a little unnecessary. Well, whatever.

Changing topics, I have good news! This weekend my grandparents will be celebrating their 50th anniversary, so there will be a ceremony and a little meal with all the family and some friends. That means I'll be taking a bunch of pictures! Stay tuned for more! :)

He was on the roof. Lovely way to spend the time, huh?

So remember that one time when you thought you were going crazy?
How you measured the world in glasses of water instead of minutes
And shed strands of hair instead of inches,
How you cried over your dead dog
And the frog that dried up
And the dying baby bird,
And how you want to cry remembering it now,
How you kept driving until the road ended
For no reason,
And you forgot how the beauty of this world is in fact that a circle
Has no beginning and
Has no end?

*

Like six days ago, I asked Camille, my little sister, to help me take some pictures. The idea was to put some rhinestones in my back and take, I don't know, some conceptual and deep picture. Sadly, Camille didn't know how to handle my camera and sadly for me, I don't have a control nor a tripod for my camera, so I didn't have another option than to shoot my idea on Camille's back.

The pictures didn't ended the way I wanted them to, but whatever. This is part of the project I guess, so I accepted the way it is and proposed to work better next time. I hope you all like it.

You can't choose what stays and what fades away.

A close up.
Another close up.
Camille decided to take the rhinestones off.
My beautiful little model.

What I used. The rhinestones.

My little Camille again.

What are little girls made of?
Sugar and spice, and everything nice, that's what little girls are made of.

Georgetown University

The 1st of July I went to Washington, DC, more specifically, Georgetown University, where I spent until the 27th of July having the time of my life. There I got to take two wonderful classes, Introduction to Communications, and obviously, Photography. Also, I got to know the most wonderful people ever, from all around the world. It was truly an amazing experience that I'd love to repeat and that will stay in my heart forever.

Sadly, I didn't take a lot of pictures, which was really ridiculous mentioning that I was taking a Photography course, so please please please, bear with me and these few pictures that I have for you guys. I hope you all have been having a wonderful summer!

Red Velvet.

Horrible quality but it's worth uploading.
This was the last night. Neither of us slept one bit, instead we pulled an all nighter, which wasn't very smart of us considering we would spent the next day in the airport but oh, it was so so worth it. I don't regret one bit.

This was my summer 2012. Full of fun, new friends, a little bit of drama, and love. I couldn't have asked for more. I love every one of these people, even though I didn't got the chance to speak to all of them, in some way, without them, my summer wouldn't have been the same.

Thank you.
